Nintendo Joins Snapchat

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

OH Snap!

No, I don't mean Pokémon Snap, Nintendo Joined Snapchat today. Yes you heard me right, Snapchat. On Facebook today, Nintendo announced they're now on Snapchat, where its already been reported that they are currently advertising their new 3rd-person-shooter Splatoon.
"Oh snap! We’re now on Snapchat! Follow us @NintendoAmerica to get behind-the-scenes updates from the Nintendo World Championships 2015 qualifiers this weekend!"~ Nintendo on Facebook
Many people consider this way of marketing for Nintendo to be WEIRD, in fact, I've not heard too many good things about the social network at all. Nintendo knows what they're doing and all, but its just odd to pick a service not-too-many like.

Silver Mario Amiibo Target Pre-orders Mobile ONLY

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
Tomorrow (5/29/2015) the Silver Mario Amiibo will be available at multiple stores, but right now I've been informed that you can ONLY  preorder this special Silver covered Mario Amiibo from Target on a mobile device. For some reason, he same option to Pre-order the Amiibo isn't available on a PC. My informant to Amiibo information has told me that he believes that the ability to Pre-order this figure from a mobile device won't last long, especially with the release just around the corner. On the Target listing for the Amiibo it says "Sorry that item is no longer available."
So it would seem that my informant was correct on the pre-order ability coming to an end soon, but it was most likely because the amiibo was sold out of pre-orders.

Luigi's Instant wins again

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
So somebody had the bright idea to do the same thing which was done with Luigi on Mario Party 9, where Luigi simply stands still in every battle/event and somehow wins. I found this news from the famous Nintendo page "My Nintendo News". Its surprising how many people still feel so bad that Luigi has a reputation for being just player two "The Younger Brother". Seriously, Luigi has been treated like the number one Nintendo Character for a whole year before. I Like Luigi myself, I'm just sick of everyone acting like he's not getting enough credit and that Mario is hogging all of the glory.
Luigi is Awesomtacular, but don't forget his big bro who's shorter than him, I do believe this glitch surpasses any other odd glitch found in SSB for WiiU & 3DS.
Here's the hilarious vid of Luigi doing nothing to win in SSB battles:

Splat Yogurt

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
Check this out Gamers and people around the world, Nintendo appears to be planning to make Splatoon Yogurt. The images could be photoshopped, that's nothing new. Or Nintendo really is doing this.

Humble Nindie Bundle

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

You choose what to buy, but you don't have to pay the normal price. Yes, the Humble Bundle organization has teamed up with Nintendo to offer multiple Nindie games at cheap prices. Humble Bundle lets you choose exactly what you pay and what you get for what you pay, on their site they even allow you to buy the games with Paypal. Hurry though, this is basically a SALE and sales (even this one) has a limited amount of time set to it. This particular deal of Nindie games lasts until June 8th 2015. The coolest part of this deal is that you get more than one game for your one payment of any of the allowed price choices. OlliOlli looks fun too, But not all of the available choices look completely worth it to me in my personal opinion.

Surviving the Amiibogeddon

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

Wave four of Amiibo will be released this weekend on the 29th of May 2015, if you already know this or this information is old to you in any way, this article may still prove useful to you in some way or another. In this article I'm working with an expert Amiibo Hunter who has been hunting Amiibo since they first came out and he has a set list of tips for surviving Amiibogeddon, if you don't know what Amiibogeddon is, its a made up word referring to the camping out for Amiibo at a store or event. In this case; The Mega Nintendo Event is happening this weekend when Splatoon and the Silver Mario Amiibo are released on the 29th of May. Although not an ACTUAL event, it will be happening and here are some tips from Zat-Man to survive it:

Style your yarn Yoshi with Amiibo

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
This new Yoshi's Woolly World advertisement from Nintendo of the UK shows that when you tap select Amiibo figures to the gamepad, Yarn Yoshi's will adapt, in one way or another (*way hasn't been announced), the amiibo's clothing/style into a Yoshi pattern.

Splatoon's ADS NA vs JP "Which do you prefer?"

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
This is an opinion piece on Splatoon's USA advertisements VS Japan's.

NA vs JP "Trailers"

splatoon has been claimed as Nintendo's next big hit and Nintendo's next Block buster, the trailers however are more annoying than entertaining. The NA (North America/ USA) trailers are more focused on the FUN aspect, featuring the kid/teen characters and singing about nearly every aspect of the game while the Japanese ads focus more on gameplay, weapons and style. The greatest of the Japanese ads literally takes a piece of Tokyo Japan and makes it into a Turf War from the game.

QUBE is coming

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
QUBE The Directors Cut is reportedly heading to PS4, Xbox one and WiiU this summer. It's making its way to all "Next Gen Consoles", comparable to Portal where you wake up in a laboratory and use portals to traverse puzzling chambers, in this game you wake up in a space ship; where you have to manipulate blocks in order to make your escape. In fact you may say that both games are identical, except this is a 2011 indie game 3D platformer made by the developer Toxic Games & the publisher GRIP Games. I guess the original announcement of this game coming to WiiU was a tweet post from QUBE on Twitter. This could be the next portal, or the next indie flop for WiiU.

Legend of Zelda WiiU Not to be released until 2017

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
Its merely a rumor at this time, but now I've heard that the New Zelda WiiU game may not be released until 2017. This game was announced at the 2014 E3 Nintendo event and its been reported by many sources that this game will not be at E3 2015 at all. Fans were crushed to find that out but now, it may not be out until 2017, that's two years from now. Master Herald has reported that they've been getting information from auxiliary sources, suggesting that the new Zelda game won't be out until 2017. This is hugely disappointing but also just plain wrong, why announce a game in 2014 that won't be out for  three more years? In my opinion, that's strange, I can't say this rumor is true information or not so the new Zelda Game may even be out next year, but if the info is correct then that's way too long to wait for a game.

Fridge full of Jurassic

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

Someone's selling a whole fridge full of fossils on eBay...

Yes Gamers, someone is selling a whole fridge full of Jurassic Park SNES (Super Nintendo) games on eBay, why anyone would have this many Jurassic Park SNES games is beyond my understanding, why anyone would fill a fridge full of them is just flat-out weird.

Memorial Day 2015

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

In the spirit of Memorial Day, I'm making this post to say let us all remember the purpose of this holiday, it is to remember those who have died in service for our country. They gave their lives for it and there are people still putting our country's lives before their own. its an honor to have had someone fight for my freedom, I feel this way and I believe we all should feel that way. If you don't, I don't wish to push my beliefs onto you or anyone, but I do believe we all should take the time to remember to day what some people are sacrificing for us.

30th for SMB and NES

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

Happy 30th NES!

Many know about this year being the 30th anniversary of SMB, but did you know this is also the 30th anniversary of the NES (Nintendo Entertainment Console)? it was (of course) originally released as the Famicom in Japan, this console hit the American market as a toy back in the 80's and was used as Nintendo's tool to END the Video Game Crash of 1984. Its anniversary takes place in October but because of this being the year of its 30th anniversary, the Strong Museum will be giving the console its very own museum exhibit. The reason of the Console sharing its 30th anniversary with SMB (Super Mario Bros) is because the original SMB game came out first WITH the NES console in North America. It made the NES very popular and is still one of the most popular games ever made and made it into The Video Game Hall of Fame from the same museum which will soon have the new NES 30th exhibit in it.

Ice Climber Amiibo Figure

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

I discovered this information from Reddit yesterday (May 22, 2015) but was too busy to make a post on the matter. This image of Ice Climbers Amiibo was released on May, 21, 2015 and it looks awesomtacular. Its not news anymore that ever since the release of SSB, but now a fan has taken that desire for Ice Climbers in SSB to a whole new level by making their own custom made Ice Climbers Amiibo. In fact i'd say that this Amiibo figure looks 100% real, the only thing that gives the fact that its custom away, is the base. The base is only copper, it doesn't have the SSb logo on it. Just click the picture on the left for the source of this discovery, hopefully the Ice climbers will be added to the SSB game via the SSB ballots, but I do believe the one who made these (Mast3r Sword) did an excellent job. Game on and Keep it Rehl!

Puzzle & Dragons + Super Mario Bros edition release

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
I'm making this post to simply give the world my opinion on this new Puzzle Game pack from Nintendo and GungHo which was released yesterday on May, 22, 2015 for the Nintendo 3DS.
The original Puzzle and Dragons game was apparently a hug hit in Japan, but from the looks of things, the sales of this new game are much lower in comparison to the original, in Japan. Puzzle and Dragons is a Poke'mon like RPG, in the Mario bros version you can use Mario baddies similar to Poke'mon in battles. Just in my opinion,

Retro Freak

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
A new console was just announced a while ago from a company called Cyber Gadget. Its name, the Retro Freak. It plays like 11 different retro consoles, comparable to the Retron Hyperkin 3 In 1 but instead of the normal 3 in one or even four in one style, it plays games from many retro consoles. including Sega Genesis, NES, SNES and even Game Boy Games from the original Game Boy console to the GBA. Cyber Gadget lists their new console's most distinctive feature is that it can save the game cartridge into its memory to be played at a later time.

Nintendo World in New York Midnight release of wave four

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,
Nintendo World Store in NY announced on Twitter on May 21, 2015 that they will be releasing the Amiibo set in Wave four of SSB at Midnight on the 28th-morning on the-29th of May. This day is the same day that the Silver Mario Amiibo figure and Splatoon game will be released. All of which seem to also be available at the Nintendo World Store in New York on the same day. It will obviously be an epic day for stores around the US, but the Nintendo World Store in NEW York always makes every game launch into a major event so I'm sure it'll be much more epic there. It appears that the store will also be selling new T-shirts on the same day featuring Splatoon logos and Inklings to promote the new game. Looking forward to the Mega Nintendo Extravaganza like me, you can find live coverage from the 28th to the 29th on Twitter from AR-Cade Gaming.

Splatoon Update

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

Iwata asks in his most recent interview with the Splatoon Game developers about their reasons for making a first person shooter about squid. Apparently there were actually many ideas they wen't through before getting to squid, at first there was no squid at all. What strikes me as the oddest part of this interview with Iwata, is how they got from blocks of

Nintendo working on a new Paper Mario Game? (Rumor)

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere...
There is a rumor going around some Japanese message boards about the possibility of a brand new Paper Mario game in development for WiiU by Intelligent systems. The original Paper Mario is currently on Wii Virtual console, but otherwise you'd have to buy it from a garage sale somewhere or from eBay. If the rumors are true, the game could be announced at E3, some say that a Paper Mario Game for WiiU would be underwhelming and silly, I don't share that same opinion but I've never liked how the Paper series goes so very far away from the actual Super Mario story.

Nintendo World Championships update

It's now confirmed that not only will the Best Buy qualifying locations for the world championships be limited, but Nintendo will only allow up to six thousand qualifiers. You may think that's a lot of people, but there are millions of people in the world, and only 730 people are allowed to enter  the qualifiers per Best Buy store, this is now a seriously small world for the all new 2015 Nintendo World Championships contest.

The End of WiiU.....8GB model

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.
Just to let everyone know, this discovered information of the 8GB model's discontinuation is regarding the end of the model in Japan. It has been reported that on the Japanese Website for Nintendo, the WiiU (8GB Version) would soon be out of production, I understand that this may make some fans think that the WiiU is over and done for, but the president of Nintendo himself said that even after the NX console's release, Nintendo will still be making WiiU and 3DS games/products. However, I did research and discovered on the Japanese site (when translated to English) did list the 8 GB model with the label "Coming Production Scheduled End". I could not find the schedule for the production end, but I will remind you that Nintendo has a better 32 GB model which is still in production and like the NEW 3DS was released, perhaps a NEW WiiU will be released, no matter what anyone says, the fact is that Nintendo is not done with the WiiU or 3DS. Nintendo at E3 2015 (before digital event)

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Its that time of the year again, when tons of video game developers, publishers and enthusiasts get together in a massive area to share their new products and plans with the world. If you live in Illinois near Schaumburg, your

Nintendo Hires Bowser

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

SOOOOOO, Nintendo announced the oddest thing today, they've hired a new Vice President of Sales. Isn't that just the weirdest thing, they hired somebody... NO, the oddest thing they announced is that they hired someone that has Bowser for a last name. That's not normal, with one of Nintendo's biggest baddest characters being Bowser, I guess his hiring at Nintendo was simply meant to be.Ever since I started reporting Nintendo News, I've thought of working for Nintendo, but I do believe this man's last name makes him over-qualified to work there. I just hope he doesn't go around trying to kidnapp princesses and hire his own minions.

Bowser will report to Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  “Doug Bowser is an outstanding addition to our Nintendo team, as he brings a deep blend of both consumer package goods and video game sales experience, I know he will work tirelessly with our internal and external partners to ensure the broad Nintendo product lineup of hardware, software and accessories are strongly represented throughout U.S. retail points of distribution.”~Moffitt  @: Nintendo

Plans for the 28th-29th of May

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Just so that you know (if you don't already) Splatoon will be out on the 29th of May 2015. Along with Wave four of the SSB Amiibo and the highly anticipated Silver Mario Amiibo figure. Well, this day has so many products coming out on it from Nintendo and no official title for those who plan on buying all of the merchandise released, so I'm calling it:

The Mega Nintendo Extravaganza!!

On the 28th I plan to camp out in front of Target until the store opens its doors, that's when the crazy truly starts, I will be getting all the listed items above from Target in Saginaw MI, if you also plan to get any of these products from Saginaw, make sure to keep your 3DS turned on to receive my official Mii over Streetpass, if you're in line with me you may be interviewed on the experience and what you plan to do, so if you see a freak in red glasses approaching you, please don't spray him with pepper spray or punch him, seriously. I will make a post on AR-Cade Gaming right after event takes place on the 29th, but if you're not actually able to make it out on the 29th, you can keep updated on the days events on my Twitter profile, I'll be live tweeting the entire event until I get home. I'll be sharing everything by the hour from Nine pm EST on the 28th to Twelve PM on the 29th, it'll be an event to remember, and one very hectic day. If you wanna' keep updated, stick with AR-Cade Gaming.

Free Water Gun with Splatoon

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.
Its been reported on Twitter by @AceBandage85, that when you purchase Splatoon at Target you'll get a FREE (Yes I said free, quit freaking out) Target-exclusive Splatoon Water gun. The game costs 59.99 and if it comes with a teeny plastic water shooter which I will put on my shelf and never use, its totally worth it. Many people have already reported on this exclusive squirt gun, that I'm thrilled you read about it here. I'm looking forward to going to get Splatoon on the 29th, and I will be getting it at Target. The squirt gun is green, orange and features a Splatoon logo, hopefully they don't have a limited supply but I'll try my best to acquire one. The best part about this promo item is that its modeled after the Splashooter in the game.

Iwata won't be at E3 2015

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

E3 2015 is just around the corner (feels like CHRISTMAS!!!) and the good news is that Nintendo will be having their digital presentation on June 16th. And Mr. Miyamoto will be there, most likely talking on an upcoming Star Fox title, but I can't confirm that yet. The bad news is that the president of Nintendo will not be attending, last year he was ill, but this year it isn't due to illness that he will not be attending. This year Iwata won't be at E3 because he will be in Japan, attending to other matters which currently requires his attention.

Splatoon-My opinion

After the Splatoon Test-fire demo release and Splatoon Nintendo Direct, I thought I'd post my personal opinion about the upcoming WiiU game: Splatoon. Region free lock-the NX?

I cannot personally confirm anything at this time, but I guess the NX may not have that region locking thing everybody hates. The thing that prevents people in NA to buy the N3DS from Japan and enjoying it. The region lock feature prevents Gamers from buying a console from another region and playing it without issues. If the NX doesn't have this feature, then we'll be able to purchase the console from Japan and get games from North America, downloading content from the USA and play the console without any problems. This doesn't appear to be true, because Iwata himself says that would present various issues:
"However, regarding NX, given the customer feedback and proposals from the market, while nothing has been decided yet, we're currently investigating internally what problems there would be in releasing it. You can think of that as the current situation. I understand your desire, so I'd like to look at it optimistically going forward. "Removing region-locking from current game machines presents various issues, so we don't consider that to be very realistic,"~ Iwata
Although he didn't say it would happen, he did say something about being optimistic or something like that, regarding the removal of the region lock.

Sega not coming to E3

Actually, SEGA will probably be at E3, but they won't have their own booth this year. This is a huge deal because all big developers usually attend the Expo to promote their new products, SEGA not being there is surprising. Like I was saying, SEGA may have their games at other developer's booths at E3, but they won't have their own booth there. Apparently a SEGA Spokesperson confirmed with Gameinformer that they will not have a Booth at E3, this is the first time the developer has not had a Booth at E3. Now That SEGA is no longer making consoles, their focus has switched to making games for other consoles, so we can probably expect to see SEGA at Nintendo's, Microsoft's and Sony's Booths instead. That being said, Nintendo won't be bringing any new NX or Mobile Games news to E3 either. Both Developers seem to be planning big surprises for this Year's E3 event.

Its official Nintendo + Universal

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Today I posted about the possibility of Nintendo getting theme park attractions in Universal Parks. Well, its not a possibility anymore. Sorry Gamers...... Its a FACT!! Nintendo will be making theme park attractions with Universal Orlando for Japan and Orlando Florida, its all 100% certified through Nintendo PR. Which means,

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Nintendo apparently stated (according to polygon.com) that Universal plans to make the world of Nintendo a reality by bringing it to life with theme park attractions. This is crazy weird but its also not too unbelievable, Nintendo has been known to promote their products in odd ways before, so why not add their characters to a theme park. I'd ride the Mario ride. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Tony's back with a brand new game called: Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5. It'll be on, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and.... NOT the WiiU!? Nintendo has always been a platform of Gaming that Tony Hawk has released his games on, from the days of the Nintendo 64 to the Wii, Tony's put games on Nintendo because his brand knows they'll make money with Nintendo. But now, It looks like Tony's brand is forgetting the WiiU and focusing on what they THINK will make them a profit. I've always been a fan of Tony's games on Wii and on The Nintendo 64 as well, but now Us hardcore Nintendo Fanboys and girls don't get the next big addition to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series!? If we don't then that's simply ridiculous because Nintendo fans deserve the chance to play this game too, some people only buy WiiU, they're missing out on that market. Hopefully Activision decides to put out Tony's latest game on WiiU, otherwise I know their missing out on a market and we're not getting the game.

I Am Box Boy!

Sorry, I mean... YOU are Box Boy. The Game starts off with very little explanation, you don't know where you are or what your purpose is. Eventually you find out through text boxes that you can make boxes by holding down <Y> and making Tetrimino type platforms to advance in the many worlds of the game. In each world's levels you can collect solid black crowns by touching them/passing by them. When you've collected all of them within one world, you've cleared that world. You don't HAVE to collect all the crowns to complete the world but you do to for 100% completion of that world. To complete a stage, you need only to reach the end and enter through the double doors (Goal door). Within the game's shop and on the eShop, you find out that you're playing a character named Qbby, you wake up to find your world is in peril, you need to clear each level, in each world to reach a projector that shows you the world is being dissolved by black smoke from a meteorite. From that point you keep going on down the path to reach your next destination, what is described only as: the Machine. The Machine is like a giant drill with a box on top of it that (when activated by a friend you find later down the path) drills into the planet and allows Qbby to continue down the path. You soon realize that you need to reach an even bigger machine to remove the black smoke from your world. This Game came out on April 2nd and its no joke, although it came out after April Fools. This game is very humorous and fun to play, for only 4.99 its worth downloading. Although I wish it had some 3D depth. It is a 3DS game, but its not 3D... Odd... The new Banjo-Kazooie

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Yooka-Laylee The new musical duo from Playtonic Games

Playtonic Games has been teasing the making of a new Banjo-Kazooie game for a long while, but now we know that the new game is the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie and is NOT a sequel. The game is titled: "Yooka-Laylee"  and looks to be bringing back the classic N64 feel. On Mar 14, 2015 Playtonic released a press confrence on Youtube, talking about the rebirth of the 3D platformer. Their game Yooka-Laylee has great graphics and its main characters; Yooka (The chameleon) and Laylee (the bat), have similar abilities to their predecessors (Banjo-Kazooie). Of course the game doesn't seem to entirely copy Banjo-Kazooie, in-fact its quite unique, in many ways. The team behind this game (Playtonic Games) is mostly comprised of previous RARE employees, the same people who worked on the original Banjo-Kazooie game and Donkey Kong Country. The main characters were designed by Steve Mayles, who also designed Banjo-Kazooie and the modern kong family. We do not know which consoles this game will be released for as of yet, but it will more than likely be released for the WiiU. For Nintendo 64 fans, this should bring back memories because its supposed to be bringing back the feel of that era, but with awesomtacularly improved graphics and game play (video from IGN) IGN will be releasing exclusive video game footage so stay tuned for more information from both IGN and AR-Cade Gaming
"Yooka-Laylee (previously ‘Project Ukulele’) is an all-new 3D platformer from the creative talent behind the Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country games. We’ve come together to form Playtonic Games and create a spiritual successor to our most cherished work from the past!
Our new heroes, Yooka (the green one) and Laylee (the wisecracking bat with big nose) were conceptualised from the ground up for stellar platforming gameplay, created by the same character artist behind the rebooted Donkey Kong family and legendary N64 heroes Banjo and Kazooie. Let’s collect some golden trinkets!"~Source-Playtonic Games
