Amiibo Tap is now available.

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.
If you don't know by now, Amiibo Tap is now available on the WiiU eShop. Its free and should work with all Amiibo figures, it will give you demos of games which you can buy on the WiiU, but the cool thing is you get to play a fare amount of the games and you get to see why its worth getting the full games. And their all retro games, so this could mean even more retro and moderen games based on Amiibo in the future. Hopefully we get more FREE games.

Mario made it in the World Video Game Hall of Fame

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

The Hall of Fame

I'm thrilled to say that Super Mario has gotten a place in the World Video Game Hall of Fame! and with his 30th anniversary approaching, this is a huge deal. There's been a hall of fame for sports, Music and even TV shows. But now we have, The World Video Game hall of Fame. A lot of buzz has been going around about this years finalists, which will be put on display at the strong Museum during a ceremony on June 4 at 10:30 a.m. Some of the many finalists include: Angry Birds, Doom, Super Mario Bros, Sonic The Hedgehog, Minecraft and Pac-Man. There are fifteen finalists for this year, the public is already allowed to begin nominating a game we'd like to see as a 2016 finalist.  Of course the worlds most popular plumber also made it into the hall of fame, but just to see it under that title "Super Mario Bros., Video Game Hall of Famer" is Awesomtacular. The Hall of fame will be stationed at the Strong National Museum of Play's eGameRevolution exhibit, in New York.

Mighty No. Mega Man

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Remember when I last spoke on Mighty No.9? NO?? Me neither. Thats why I'm Talking about it now, As it turns out the game is being made by one of the original creators of Mega Man. Although I'm not sure how good it will be, I know it'll be like Mega Man for sure. A friend gave me their personal opinion on the game, saying there have been 8 Mega Man X games and that this one is basically the spiritual successor of that game series. I couldn't agree more, this game is basically a continuation from the Mega Man game series but instead its more-or-less a remake. The game's release has been announced for September 2015.

Writing for GSR

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

GSR

On april -24- 2015  I started writing for Game/Sleep/Respawn. The site doesn't necessarily fall under my category of expertise. Although the one who founded the site gave me the position of the Nintendo Guy, I don't think everyone there is as into Nintendo as I am. Nintendo has always been a part of me. My first console was a Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I've tried playing other consoles and other games, I even like a few other developers games, I just prefer Nintendo because in my personal opinion, they do it better. Their products are very durable and their games are usually family friendly. With Nintendo, they know making games for specific ages lowers the sales, but when a game is made E for Everyone, everyone buys it. Nintendo made a good impression on me at a young age.

Opinions

I'm a very opinionated person, I try not to be too opinionated but I can't help it sometimes. What I can't wrap my head around is that most gamers today treat Nintendo like their so-last-year or even like its horrible to even mention Nintendo unless your speaking against them. Nintendo made Gaming what it is today whether or not anyone chooses to believe it, without Mario there wouldn't be a Sonic. Gaming in America would most-likely cease to exist for a long time.

MK8 DLC set 2 comes out tomarrow

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

DLC Pack available tomorrow
The second set of DLC comes out for Mario Kart 8 tomorrow. It features Animal Crossing and an extra F-Zero track. It also has many other additions such as extra vehicles and characters. If you pre-purchased like me then you'll probably be able to download it with no extra cost. I got the bundle package so I expect to get it tomorrow morning. Along with the DLC comes the ability to play 200cc. This is the first Mario Kart game you can play with this difficulty setting. Which makes this game a game filled with firsts. 200cc, antigravity, animal crossing drivers, Link racing and HD Mario Kart. A whole lot of firsts for this Mario Kart game. Tell me what your excited to experience with the new DLC and what DLC you want to be added to the game next in the comments.

The Laundry Boy

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

ThinkGeek has released yet another Nintendo collectible item, this one is called the Laundry Boy. Although not all of their Nintendo items are very good, they do have a few Geekoid items which are related to Nintendo products, that I think are both funny and collectible. I especially like the Tetris tetromino pillows (I know Tetris isn't necessarily Nintendo). But this product is for dirty laundry and features a goofy interpretation of a generic Laundry themed RPG game on the front. This is definitely something that would be in my room if I could buy it.

Leaks

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Somebody get the worlds most popular plumber on the phone, the internet puts out too many leaks of Nintendo's unreleased content. Just today I've found a leak of the NX specs and pricing for the UK, when will the madness end you ask? NEVER, yes, sadly people love to ruin surprises by digging so deep they find out before the rest of the world and then sharing it before the company who made the product does. I don't get what drives people to uncover the truth when Nintendo's going to release it anyways. Just be more patient, I understand why people were impatient about the SSB roster announcements. But the endless leaks of Roster photos and fighters from the new game were unbearably annoying. Leaks need to stop, or at least slow down, I'm sick of knowing all the surprises, like Amiibo cards, before Nintendo announces their surprises. Follow AR-Cade Gaming, get the news first, stop the leakage.

NES Remote button layout rights reaquired by Nintendo. WHY!?

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

The internet is a buzz, Nintendo apparently acquired the rights to their old NES remote design, they may be using this in the NX project, they may be using this for another WiiU accessory. Nobody truly knows yet. But its believed that the main reason they've reaquired these rights is for the A,B and start, select buttons. Really, nobody knows why.

3DS sales in general have increased by 80%

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere...
3DS sales in general have increased by 80 percent. This includes the N3DSXL and the regular 3DS consoles as well. With that in mind, the total WiiU sales have also increased but only by 20 percent.
Why is the 3DS doing so much better in sales than the WiiU, the WiiU is getting less upgrades than the 3DS, the New 3DS has WiiU capabilities yes. but the N3DSXL has so many more appealing features on it. The WiiU already has Amiibo and dual screens, so what does Nintendo need to get the attention the WiiU needs to increase in sales by 80 percent. It appears the WiiU isn't as big of a sucess as it should be, it may end up like the Gamecube, it was an epic fail and now its a highly desired console. The N3DSXL seems to have increased Nintendo's sales significantly since it was released, hopefully the WiiU can get some more sales before next month. Go out and buy a WiiU. AND Mario Kart 8, NOW!!!

Sales up 60% (Nintendo PR)

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Nintendo announced yesterday that their sales have gone up by 60% since 2014, still think that Nintendo is doomed? I bet most of the haters saying Nintendo is doomed are now Amiibo hunters, enjoying all of Nintendo's new toys. Nintendo had this to say: "The New Nintendo 3DS XL system continues to inject growth into Nintendo’s hand-held business, and the momentum created for Wii U in 2014 has carried over into 2015. " Nintendo declares their newest console (the N3DSXL) to be the cause of their sucess. I can't say their wrong, but within this last few months, I believe the world woke up and saw that the WiiU was a next gen console. Sure a lot of people still think it isn't, but I think a lot of Gamers saw the upgrades and additions (DLC and Amiibo) and saw what they were missing so they got a WiiU, it would explain such an increase in sales besides the N3DSXL console. Tell me your thoughts on this sales increase in the comments.

The DLC Shop (SSB)

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

The DLC Shop is open for SSB on the 3DS, and I now confirm that you can make a basic purchase to have the DLC you download on both the 3DS and WiiU. This new SSB update also confirms MORE DLC for SSB is on the way, and more DLC for MK8 could also be on the way, this is just a prediction but I hope to see more (FREE) DLC for Mario Kart 8 within the next year, they could seriously keep these games brand new for years with DLC. The Update makes the Notifications menu a DLC shop entrance as well, and on the screen it shows the option to even get DLC from codes (which you normally get from Club Nintendo for coins), so this means codes may be available with the new rewards service Nintendo plans to make after Club Nintendo is gone (Of course they will be, all prizes are virtual now). There are no fighters available in the DLC shop right now, but I have a feeling that'll change once the SSB Ballot has a few winners. I would personally like Nintendo to add a Mario Mii fighter uniform and the Pixel version of Mario as a fighter for download. I don't really get the whole monkey suit.

The WORST Contest Nintendo has made in years

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.
(See previous article here)
The Twitter (@arcadegaming01) contest held by Nintendo just last week for National Siblings Day has got to be the most airy and screwy contest I've ever entered, I don't enter many, but I wish I could've at least known who beat me in this one. The contest was announced prior to Nintendo's contest announcement (the day of) from other Nintendo news networks like My nintendo News and Nintendo news, all networks like them said the contest was on Instagram. But then we discovered on the day of the contest, it was being held on Twitter. We weren't told the official rules until later on Google Plus and then people were entering pictures way past the entry point. The contest winners were to be informed on their win, somewhere around 4/13. Now its 4/16 and we have no-idea who won or if the winner was even chosen. There has been no official winner declared/announced on Twitter by Nintendo or anywhere else by Nintendo, in fact... Nintendo hasn't said a word about the contest since National Siblings Day. I've given up on this contest, I wish I would've won. But it would've been nice to have known that I've lost too. Nintendo didn't say who won, so was there even a winner??

The NX Console

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

I haven't spoken on this particular announcement since it was first announced, but Nintendo should be unveiling a new console next year. I just thought I'd give my general thoughts on this "Project NX" thing while the topic was still fresh. Well we know it's not a new 3DS or Wii, so what could it be... It could be a number of things honestly, so I'll just say what I hope it isn't. I hope it's not just another upgrade, I hope it's something 100% new. I would also want it to work with WiiU games and Wii Games, as well as previous downloads ( to keep all we already have). I also hope the whole "mobile games" feature isn't the primary feature. It would be nice if it was like an ADD-ON to the WiiU. People have been talking about Nintendo forgetting the WiiU and moving on very soon "Winding down the WiiU" . Well, if this console worked WITH the WiiU, then the WiiU wouldn't be forgotten. The Wii is already done, the WiiU shouldn't join it so soon. And I really don't want it to be just like XBox or PS4, I doubt that will ever happen though, Nintendo always does things differently than everyone else.

The SILVER Mario Amiibo

Someone has reported to have gotten a REAL silver Mario Amiibo from a Chinese website (As reported by My Nintendo News) It obviously could be a fake, but the Silver token in the Mario game looks to be real, except its such a poorly filmed video that it makes the videos I film look good. This Silver Mario Amiibo find is probably a lie, tell me what you think in the comments. Go here to watch the vid.

Testing grounds

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

I read today that the UK is getting the Mii costumes DLC for SSB this week. Why is it that Japan and The UK always usually get products first, its kinda' like Nintendo tests out its products closer to home before sending them over seas to NOA. Well, I think its about time that changes, we should get the NX first, they should see how well the console sells over here in the USA and then send it over to Japan after that. I don't mean this to be something Nintendo defiantly should do, its just something I would really like Nintendo to do. How come they can't just ship out a lot of the same products everywhere? How come the UK gets this DLC first? How Come Japan gets the regular N3DS and we just get the XL version (I'm OK with this). It's just that Us Americans like Nintendo too, how come we don't get the DLC this week??

The Contest is over, who won?

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Its been a whole day since Nintendo was supposed to announce the winner of the Twitter #SiblingSmash contest, but no-one, not even Nintendo themselves has announced a winner as-of-yet. Odd, You'd think the rules of this contest would've been a bit less airy. Theres no specific date to when the winner of the contest should've been notified except around or on 4/13. Well, its 4/14 now, and still now winning announcements... I'm starting to really wonder about this screwy contest. Was it all fake? Has the winner already been notified? Will we ever know?

Unity Web Player coming to the N3DS

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

So if you haven't heard already, The Unity Game engine is coming to the N3DS soon. Apparently this engine is used by many developers and theirs a lot of excitement for this coming to the N3DS. I'm not positive who announced this was happening, I personally found out about this through Nintendo Life. They say that this game engine will make porting games easier, I DON'T THINK SO. Nintendo has made many precautions with past 3DS updates to prevent such a thing as illegally putting games on the old 3DS, so why would they allow it to be easier with the N3DS. I just don't see how that would be the logical thing for Nintendo to do. So they probably didn't. The engine is most likely coming to the N3DS, with faster processing power there must also come new gaming engines. But seriously, Nintendo would never allow it to be easier to play games illegally on their console. They've stopped hackers before, and they can do it again.

Autumn 2015

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Yoshi's Woolly World and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer are both scheduled to be released in Autumn. Both games have a form of Amiibo functionality as well. Except, both games have unique Amiibo functionality. Yoshi's Woolly World has Wool/Yarn Amiibo Yoshi's and Happy Home designer has cards. These will be the first Amiibo (Besides the Gold Super Mario Amiibo) to be made in a different form. The Cards have been predicted and have been expected, but these are Animal Crossing Cards, completely unexpected and new. The Amiibo cards are also awesomtacular for the N3DSXL's built in Amiibo NFC reader. Sorry to everyone who doesn't have an N3DSXL yet, you'll have to buy an Amiibo NFC reader accessory. An the Woolly world Amiibo figures you can actually play with, using a second Yoshi in the game besides the main Yoshi. Things are looking good for Autumn this year.

Lego Makes "Figures to Life" Game

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

Lego was smart when making this because the creativity of LEGO plus the style of Amiibo is Money making gold. You basically have the ability to build what you play with now, I think. Honestly, there hasn't been a whole lot released about this game or what it can do, but from the trailer I've seen and the info that has been released... I can piece together a few things. The game will only be on home consoles so far and there is no news on it coming to portable consoles at this time. Its going to be mostly on next gen consoles but it will also be on WiiU (which I think IS next gen). The game brings back old LEGO favorites like LEGO Batman and The Lego Movie and The Lord of The Rings together in an epic adventure. You may also be able to literally build the portal into the game (#AWESOMTACULAR!) Normally I wouldn't say I'm excited  about ANOTHER "real figures to game" game, but I'm totally excited for this game. If you've seen the trailer then you know what I mean, its very intriguing.

Nintendo DS games on WiiU

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere.

The internet is loving the new N64 VC games and NDS VC games on the WiiU, its something we've wanted since the giant DS system that played Wii Games was first released. This is Nintendo's way of using their old products for new revenue. It may seem horrible for us, that we have to pay for older games. But its really quite impressive and smart of Nintendo, we get the old games that we love on our brand new console and they get more money to make more games that we love. Everyone wins.

The Year of Gaming

Every character/thing in this pic is either going
to have a film or rumored to have a film

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere...
What does Banjo Kazooie, Super Mario, Sonic and Tetris all have in common?? SIMPLE. Their all Video Game orientated, AND NOW, so are films. I'm dubbing this year, "The year of Gaming" Because of all the awesomtacular Gaming related things happening this year. Such as the release of PIXELS coming soon. Nintendo has also made many announcements just within this past month. Like, Super Mario's 30th anniversary and Mario Maker's connection. But in other news, rumors have been spread for a while talking about films to be released which are video game themed, such as an CGI live-action sonic film and even a Super Mario film was rumored to be made by Sony Pictures animation (that has yet to be confirmed, but is most-likely a total lie). Tetris got a rumor to be made into a film. And now I'm hearing rumors that Banjo Kazooie is a possible film from Disney (Disney loves wrecking everything). What's next for a movie rumor, PONG??? Besides all of that,  I believe this year deserves the title "The Year of Gaming" because of all the cool stuff happening (and all that's already happened) during this year for the world of Gaming.

  • Mario's 30th Anniversary
  • Pixels movie
  • Mario Maker
  • The New 3DS XL (already released)

Its in the CODE

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

The Code secret from the Japan Super Mario 30th Anniversary website secretly holds a piece of Mario art. This is 100% true. I wen't to investigate this myself and discovered that the hidden Mario message is real. Its pretty cool that someone took the time over in Japan to place all that code and hide a Mario image for hardcore Mario fans to find. But honestly, how did someone go about discovering this in the first place? Did someone just accidentally bump into it? Did someone plant it there? I don't know, personally I believe someone had too much time on their hands. Who would even think of looking through the page's code to discover this. Its just abnormal, still its pretty awesomtacular that its been found and its there.

as expected, the #Awesomtacular Mii outfit DLC  for SSB on WiiU and 3DS will cost you, a lot if you wanna' get a lot, but Nintendo has decided to be quite generous and give away the Mii outfits separately for each console's game at around 75 cents a piece. not a huge DEAL there, but it doesn't cost more than two dollars for ONE and that's what we didn't wan't to happen. Here's the list. it appears that the outfits will be sold in Waves like Amiibo figures are. This could mean a Mario outfit will be released in the future. Will there be future MK8 DLC?

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere...

The recent announcements of MK8 updates and DLC releases have got me thinking. Will there be any future DLC releases for Mario Kart 8? This set of DLC took a while to be made and released all-together, does this mean they may not even try to make more DLC? If they do continue to make DLC for MK8 alone, they could make a steady income of cash from that one game. What I mean is, if people continue buying DLC for that one game, then it never gets old and its always new. DLC will keep the game fresh and make it so people never stop playing it. MK8 could be the NEW Mario Kart for years without a Mario Kart 9. Hopefully they do release more courses, characters and vehicles past this upcoming DLC, either way... Mario Kart 8 is Awesomtacular and I'll always be playing it. I think they should add a voting page for MK8 like they made for SSB. I also believe the Amiibo figures should do more than just unlock costumes. But whatever,

SSB, Amiibo, Mario Kart 8 and Mii costumes updates

Nintendo's Last Direct was so massive that I can't fit everything into one post. so now, I'm talking about the many SSB and Mii costume updates and of course the newest feature to SSB which is the ability to vote for who you wan't to bring into the game as DLC later on. Hopefully it doesn't cost too much but I'm personally hoping that some of its free. The changes to SSB I don't believe involve Amiibo, just DLC for Mii character's costumes. But the update for Mario Kart 8 (#MK8) does involve Amiibo, now you can race dressed as Sonic or wearing a Pac-man helmet. not all of these changes are big changes either, but for the first time in a very long time, Nintendo has added an extreme mode to Mario Kart. 200CC, the highest its ever been, EVER!! Iwata says; "Even if you feel incapable of playing this mode, we encourage you to try it."

Its Mario's 30th anniversary and we can calibrate it all year long if want to. September 13th will be the DAY of the event, Nintendo will most likely do something at Nintendo World in New York like they did for the 25th anniversary. But this is the 30th so they may do something completely NEW!! Maybe give out FREE Mario games or something like that, I have no-idea!! But I'm excited to say that I'll be covering the anniversary here on my blog.Mario's anniversary takes place only ten days before my own. That is seriously #Awesomtacular!!

Nintendo will release this app/game for demoing their classic games on Wii U!! Yes, the WiiU is still getting apps and games, well that's odd. If they are finishing up with the Wii U, then its going out with a BANG! Tons of more games and content, well... I personally don't think the WiiU is done just yet. So shut your mouths HATERS!!
