Miiverse uproar

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

Back in the 1st of July 2015, a Nintendo employee/verified Miiverse user on Miiverse named Erika announced that Miiverse would be getting a redesign, some are quite upset with this, while others are thrilled by it. The reasons one might be upset about this are the following:

  • more limitations on posting a day (30 posts or comments) Comments count as posts so you can only do 30 total, which limits commenting as well as sharing content.
  • less chatting with other users
  • Screenshot Album is personal (no one but you can see it) and can only hold 100 pictures
  • the new Play Journal will not allow handwritten Entries
  • you will also not be allowed to make handwritten entries in the new
Discussions section which will be added to various communities
  • the new play journal is a REPLACEMENT for your regular activity feed
On the upside of things, posting to Miiverse quickly will be a bit less restricted.

"After the redesign, the limitations on posting quickly in succession will become less strict. You'll be able to post a combined total of 30 posts or comments per day. (In-game posts will not be included in this total.)"~Miiverse
Erika (from Nintendo) Yesterday, 7/22/2015 (after obviously seeing the many negative comments on her post) made another post explaining ALL of the new changes in detail to apparently try and make peace with the Miiverse users.
She tried her best, but on that same post, many claimed that this was the end of Miiverse, that Miiverse is over and done with and that this redesign is it's undoing. On a side note though, I sorta saw the end of Miiverse coming, its not a REAL social network (no offense). But Erika makes it clear when she says:
"First and foremost, Miiverse is created for gamers to talk about games - to give everyone the chance to ask questions about a game/app, for example, or if you get stuck and need help in-game."~Erika (Miiverse verified user)
Miiverse is a Gaming community, made mainly for an easier way to ask for help from other Gamers in Games you own. That is Miiverse's purpose, although some believe it is made to be a Gamer's social network and for online gaming, its true purpose is to ask the rest of the Gaming world for advice in your games, of course there are some small other uses for Miiverse. Such as sharing screenshots and bragging, but it doesn't change the fact that Miiverse was made for helping Gamers in their games.
