30th for SMB and NES

Hey Gamers and Collectors everywhere,

Happy 30th NES!

Many know about this year being the 30th anniversary of SMB, but did you know this is also the 30th anniversary of the NES (Nintendo Entertainment Console)? it was (of course) originally released as the Famicom in Japan, this console hit the American market as a toy back in the 80's and was used as Nintendo's tool to END the Video Game Crash of 1984. Its anniversary takes place in October but because of this being the year of its 30th anniversary, the Strong Museum will be giving the console its very own museum exhibit. The reason of the Console sharing its 30th anniversary with SMB (Super Mario Bros) is because the original SMB game came out first WITH the NES console in North America. It made the NES very popular and is still one of the most popular games ever made and made it into The Video Game Hall of Fame from the same museum which will soon have the new NES 30th exhibit in it.
